A British national,  Marc was educated at The London School of Economics before attending the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and serving in the British Army. After leaving the army, he landed in Cartagena in 2004 and travelled all around Colombia, meeting his future wife along the way. On returning to the UK he worked as a fund manager for BlackRock in London. Visiting Colombia numerous times over the years, he took the plunge in 2011 and moved to Medellin. He continued to work in the financial markets across Latin America, while helping his wife establish her own successful educational travel company. He started Amakuna as he is passionate about seeing Colombia fulfill its potential as a world-class holiday destination.

A dual British-Croatian national, Boris was educated in London. After working in brand management for the BBC he became a management consultant for Accenture, before completing his MBA at IESE Business School in Barcelona. Traveling extensively he first set foot in Colombia in 2006, after which he returned to London to continue his career in real estate investment management. He went on to manage a prestigious family office in Croatia before moving to Medellin with his Colombian wife and daughter in 2014. Highly passionate about the country’s culture and an accomplished accordion player of the native Vallenato folk music, he started Amakuna with a vision of sharing this passion and love for all that is Colombia.
